I don't know if this is the right place to submit things.

I've been submitting some titles to the database under the section "add an anime" but I wanted to get an idea how often or how long does it take for title entries to show up on the list? Confused

There were 2 entries I submitted,
'Gosenosane: The second Chapter', (though not the actual title), which is a sequel to the 'Gosenzosane' OVA, aka 'Masquerade'. And 'Uchu Kazoku Carl Vinson'', which is an old anime title which doesn't really have a link where you can find info. for it. Except for what I had provided in the submission which contains other links about the artist.

I recently added an entry for a new film listed in July's issue of Newtype USA, called Gurasu no Usagi, The Glass Rabbit which is a current movie byToshiko Takagi.

When you submit a title you can submit the "kanji" info correct? The editors will figure it out from there. If it doesn't come through at least you have the URL, correct?

Only problem is that you cannot submit a title if you don't have a site.

I've never really used the submission section until recently so I want to get an idea of how to best post things and where best to submit things if I have a question. Especially for this section which is for different suggestions and entries.

I just cite the appropriate page of The Anime Encyclopedia--366, in this case. I feel that it's a reasonable assumption that the Encyclopedia staff has access to a copy, even if the average fan may not, since it is the standard reference. Similarly, I've been using Fred Patton's book as another source and citing it as "Page xxx of _Watching Anime, Reading Manga_. Patton. ISBN 1880656922." (See here and here.)

Thanks on that note. I'm very familiar with 'Fred Patten', seen him in person as well. Never approached him though.

But I'll keep this reference item in mind.

Thanks. Smile
