If it's one specific title you're after, maybe you should try posting in this thread animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12376 with all the information you can remember about it.

The only one's I can remember seeing is "Black Jack" by Manga Entertainment, and Blue Sonnet, I think that was CPM. I quite liked Blue Sonnet but it never got much press.

I'm afraid that this function is not available yet.
Black Jack is the most well-known medical anime, adapted from manga of the same name. Arjuna, as its emphasis on environmentalism, has mentioned quite a lot about health and symbiosis, particularly about spoiler[intestinal ecology and antibiotics]. There are much more medical-themed manga than anime, however. |

The most recent anime that I can think of involving the "medical" genre is Monster. It's supposed to be a very good series and is currently around 70 episodes long. It is not yet licensed. |

I think Amazing Nurse Nanako has to do with medical stuff... although it may have more to do with boobs than medical practice.

Well, since we're on that topic, there are also H things like Ogenki Clinic Adventures and Nurse School. |

Of course in manga you have Iryuu (Team Medical Dragon), probably the coolest medical manga out there.

You may also consider looking up Ray from AVD manga, although I don't think it has been adapted to anime...

well, the main character of Monster is Dr. Tenma. And i don't know how correct the info is, but a lot of medical terminolgy and info is used once in a while. A lot of research into the medical field was probably used, or perhaps the writer may have experience there. Not a medical genre anime by any stretch, but people in the medical field can pick up more on Dr. Tenma's effectiveness as a doctor (he uses his skills in many episodes to help victims) much more than I could.

I have only seen two medical science related animes.
-Amazing Nurse Nanako -Roujin Z I've only seen the first three episodes of Amazing Nurse Nanako. I remember a big breasted super powered Nurse (Nanako) and the doctor she followed around...a guy in glasses, who had some pretty crazy fight skills with a quarter staff. The second one I have seen, is of course Roujin Z. I figured somebody would have named it by now...but it is pretty good. It is an OVA, so following it doesn't demand more from you than about two hours of your time. Essentially the story takes place in a future where this company develops a medical bed that is self sufficent in caring for the elderly. It can make them excercise, feed them, change their bed pan, monitor their vital signs etc etc. The old man who is attatched to bed assimilates his mind with the CPU of the bed. He uses the bed to gather other mechanical "appendages" so to speak, and goes on a rampage as he goes to find his wife. Okay so the story on that one sort of gets away from the medical issues, but it has a heavy involvement about medical science. It almost seems like a story that Ray Bradbury would have written, about the downfall of man, because of machines. |
