What? No love for the Maria-sama ga Miteru Christmas Album?
In which the voice actresses from 'Maria Watches Over Us' sing a selection of Christmas songs.
It's wonderful!
Listen to "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" here...

And a happy new ear to all.

Lots of my favorites. But still missing Daisuke to Ken no Kaimono Carol from Digimon Adventure 02. Silly silly song.

Re: The new poll, in a series where most characters are at least part-time hackers, Dennō Coil's gadgeteer title should go to Isako, not Daichi. She's superior to him by far.

Also, where's Oh My Goddess's Skuld in that list? She would get my vote Anime smile

Daughter of Darkness. The weirdest entry in the Tenchi universe and certainly the darkest. I just couldn't get over how awkward and creepy the bedroom scene was with the ominous music and the demon watching. Manatsu no Eve is a beautiful and uplifting song. It kind of adds a lot of hope to the ending considering how depressing it kind of was.

Toradora has to have my favorite holiday episodes (not that there was a whole lot competition). Such well executed episodes. I'm going to rewatch those every Christmas.

Yeah, I was wondering where she was on the list. Also considering it was #1, I thought Tenchi Muyo's Washu would be on the list too.

As for why #1's song turned into a christmas song, it's probably because spoiler[Mayuka wanted to celebrate christmas with everyone before dying] in the movie. Plus it's mentioned that Christmas & a holiday called Startica on Jurai are similar, but have different meanings.

THIS! Washu would be my choice! I'm not aware of any other character who can hack the time-space continuum as easily as she does.

I should've checked the whole list before I voted, but I still think I picked a good choice. Maybe it'll even win, but who knows?

Nice choice on the songs, especially Santa no Claus Sora and Manatsu no Eve.

This list makes me think of the Maria Sama Ga Miteru Christmas album. Both the vocals and the music together mish mash into a near perfect angelic melody chorus. And aside from just a couple rough pronounciations ('ear' instead of 'year'), the English was so remarkably good it suprised even me, and passed easily for my family when they listened to it.

I'm still a little confused how a song title about midsummer worked into being a Christmas song

Maybe it's been a while since you've seen the movie, but it was discussed that Jurai festivals on midsummer were like Christmas on Earth, which the characters promised to spend together by the end of the year, hence the association. Although the least best Tenchi movie, everything that's good about it was still good, especially this nice closing song that I also love listening to.

Toradora's is definitely the most rememberable and beautiful of them all. It makes Christmas fun. For games, I'd have to say my favorite Christmas song is Chocobo's Happy Christmas. I mean, IT HAS A CHOCOBO ON IT!

And then, my favorite game tech genius. That'd probably be Elena from Rune Factory Oceans. And my light tech genius is probably that girl from Zaregoto.

Tomizawa's singing chops aren't that extensive, she's sung a few other songs for Sakura Wars (where she voices Sumire Kanzaki) but not a whole lot else, so this remains one of her most memorable song performances for me.

She was also Marjoly in the Rhapsody/Marl Kingdom game series, which is a musical RPG and she has quite a few songs.

I love her version of Last Christmas! It's really cute

If "Holy Night" from Toradora wasn't on there i was going say "WTF?!" It has to be my favorite anime Christmas song and Christmas episodes of anime ever. I have listened to the song nearly 100 times since the beginning of the season and will watch the episodes this weekend on the dvds i got during the rightstuf holiday sale. Hope your Holidays will "saa ippai no egao" everyone!

I have a few anime songs on my Winter Holiday playlist this year, such as "Everlasting Snow" by Dream from Hikaru no Go and "Diamond" by Alan from Inuyasha: The Final Act.
