I'll be honest, I'm a huge Bakemonogatari fan but I do find Shinobu's inexplicable popularity slightly disturbing...

I'm disappointed in you, Japan. I thought you loved Rika?
Comiket day two is only 2 days away; I can't wait for Bern trolling in Umineko EP7, Fairy Wars, and a ton of new doujin albums to listen to.

Nice, I believe this is ANN's first time covering the Saimoe Tournament. Thanks to Gia for changing that, I'm guessing?
Totally supporting Azu~nyan & Yui this year. Of course if Shana can finally win this year, I'd be more than okay with that as well.

Dang, Kaori (aka a complete side character in Saki who isn't very important at all in the story) just missed beating the main character of Oomari Himori by 5 votes.
Looks like it'll be a good year for Saki again.

I am kind of surprised ANN is covering this.
Looks promising. If Shana wins I would be shocked considering how far Yui placemed last year. I really want Nymph to win though it probably won't happen.

It's a change to more casual news since the collapse of the market has made it harder to be a completely serious website, and still make a living.

What, it gets people posting, right?
This contest should also perhaps make clear that one person's moe is another person's annoying-as-all-hell.

Certainly. It was either this or Zac and Justin go back to streetwalking. Do we really want that? BTW, what's the pay like for a full time chicken little? Interpreting everything as a sign of impending doom must be hard.

I stopped voting when Kureha lost. It was too disheartening. Kureha...

Bernkastle and Rika aren't the same person. Also, one of them is a cruel, sadistic bitch while the other isn't.

What surprised me was the amount of people who didn't like that Shana won round seven of the Diamond round. I was kind of ambivalent about it. But that she won three seems a bit much to me. I was kind of hoping Hanyuu would have placed higher I was also happy to see Yui did good.
