I decided I'd try out animenewsnetwork. I signed up for the forums, and decided to browse the "community" section, only to discover you need "special access" privileges? So far ANN is not very inviting to say the least.
Or by "Community" did you people perhaps mean "Private Club?" |

Ah I see. So far I have not seen much other than copypasta for news, I was kind of hoping the community might be able to provide something fresh. Not willing to pay to find out you got like five people in there talking about the same thing people outside the community section talk about.

No, it's not the same stuff being discussed. The idea of the community forum is for people to discuss off topic stuff unrelated to anime or manga. I should warn you though that it's not the most active forum. There's a dozen or so regulars who post there and some others who pop in occasionally. There's still a decent amount of discussion but nothing close to ANN's other forums. |
