Off topic, sorry, but exactly how popular is KKM? I found it a strangely addictive blend of a lot of different genres to the point where I can't decide if I should really like it or should really be turned off. The whole uproar about its yaoi undertones didn't escape me, but I personally never thought it was to be taken seriously (in keeping with the show's irreverent humor about itself) or was all that big a part of the series.
Are these cels something fangirls are going to moon over and buy in sets to create "couples?" Or are they just collector's items?

Haha you shouldn't let the yaoi hints turn you down since my little brother who has never like shounen ai LOVED the show. He laughes at the jokes every time. I find this series very appealing and i'm definitely buying the first volume when it comes out and i'm glad there's some collector cards! Can't wait.

A little from column A, a little from column B.
I personally have been looking forward to this for quite a while. I saw some pictures in Newtype USA and immediatly thought, "Wow that's a cute boy!" (Ah, the one track mind of a 14 year old girl . . .) But these cards seem to be really cool extras, something else that I can cram on my shelf! Right next to those Kaleido Star standees . . .

My first impression of KKM was presented on NewType too. It had such powerful animation pictures. It seems like every volume of NewType has some sort of promotion pictures for KKM.

KKM isn't all shounen-ai teasers and eyecandy for girls. Among most of the fansubbers, it's one of the best "anime" series released this year, especially it was able to pick up a second series. Very unlikely for series like Negima and AMG TV.

I guess I should qualify my mention of KKM's yaoi undertones by saying that in MY personal opinion, they were barely barely BARELY there and definately not any reason to exclusively watch the series. I thought any yaoi-ish shadings were mostly a deliberate poke at the genre itself.
Honestly, I really liked the series and was taken aback by some of the extreme fanfics out there (penned by fangirls, should I be surprised? No. It disturbs me that some girls can get so into that stuff without anyone batting an eye, when - if a middle-aged man did the same - he'd be considered some kind of crazy potential pornoholic child molester in the making).
