Wow, I'll be jealous if you guys are getting a theatrical release.

This is probably a prelude to an announcement from Bandai. I kinda figured they'd wait until sometime after the 2nd movie came out being that the 1st movie only has a few percentage of new footage whereas like 20% or a bit over of the 2nd is new material.
My mind briefly considered the possibility that they might actually try to do a wide theatrical release but than I thought "Wait they'd do that for Gurren Lagann but not the two new Evangelion movies?" so yeah call me very shocked if something like that does happen. Well at the very least I hope the GL movies get a release somewhere that's more easier and affordable than the 7+ hour drive it would have taken me to get to San Fransisco. Eeesh! Either way, a countdown date or something on the site would be pretty nice. |

Just a reminder: ANN officially does not participate in April Fools' Day. Not that we dislike jokes, but they and their fallout simply cause way too many problems for a news site.

I feel like the chances of them doing a theatrical release for these movies are high. Even if it's the one night special events they've been doing. Eureka Seven was last September and I believe the last one before that was Sword of the Stranger February of last year. They usually do it twice a year or so.
Regardless, I actually really liked the movies even though most of it was the same from the show. The fact they made the endings to both feel much more epic is really the reason why I'm all about this. |

Why release the website and then refuse to comment on it? This is either suspicious or lazy.

The website is legit as its registered to Aniplex and Hiroe Tsukamoto. As seen here.
Very interesting. The movies would be an automatic purchase, preferably on BD. |

Normally I would say I don't trust this being April first and all however I trust Justin and Zac so it's all good.
It's certainly not a surprise to see the movies coming to the US. The question on my mind is how they are doing it. Are they simply releasing Blu-Ray and DVD's or are they gonna try a theatrical run? I would also like to know if they are gonna dub the show and if they do if it will have the original cast. Guess we will just have to wait. |

I misread Aniplex America as Animax America.
