That sucks for her fans but I'm actually glad....I don't like her engrish singing at all and am glad I won't have to hear it in anime for awhile..sorry if that seems rude, I hope she feels better soon though.

Sometimes it makes me wonder how much career pressure these folks have. The Japanese stereotype that they are workaholic never goes away.

Quite a few folks in "Otaku industry" has fatigue problems or even... early deaths (like Satoshi Kon and Kondo Yoshifumi Sad ). Anyway, health is important, I bet she will enjoy her holidays Smile.

Not rude at all, but I have to disagree. I think she and Lia are both awesome. I really liked the songs they did together for The World God Only Knows, and her songs in ef really suited the show well.

Indeed this does suck for her fans, but she should take care of herself first.

Same. Sometimes I wonder if we're even hearing of all the cases...
I hope she enjoys her well deserved break!

Satoshi Kon died from pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest forms of cancer.

Sounds like a lot of singers are being pushed really hard lately. We had Kana Asumi and Takanori Nisikawa earlier this year suffer the same issue. ELISA has one of the best voices out there and most of the shows she has done have been great (particularly ef and Kami Nomi). Outside of the anime industry, I really love her albums. One of the few female singers that can actually sing English songs both decently and too some extent clearly.

It is very strange that her Twitter account was deleted. This has nothing to do with the singer taking a pause. She could simply not update the Twitter for the time, no need to delete it.

What is happening exactly?
