For the past fifteen minutes I have been going through page after page trying to find the one that will let me rate some animes (One would think it would let you rank it right on the anime's page but that doesn't seem to be the case unless I'm missing something) Please help me through this incredibly confusing layout and if possible tell me how to add anime to the My Anime option so I can manage some things. Any help here is MUCH appreciated.

Taken from an earlier post of mine:
To add anime to My Anime there are two ways. You can go the encyclopedia page of whatever series you want to add. On the top right of the page while be a section that looks like this: My Anime add this title to My Anime Have you seen this? want to / some / all Just click on whichever link is most appropriate. The other way is to go to the main My Anime page. On the right side under "Misc." there is a link that says "Add anime I've seen". That will take you to a list that looks similar to the encyclopedia, but will allow you to select several series at once. Another thing to do is make your list public. |

Since your post count is only 1, I have a question: did you register for an account *before* or *after* looking for a way to rate titles? It occurs to me that a lot of these "how to rank anime" questions may be simply due to the fact that the interface to enter ratings is simply not available unless you're logged in...

Thanks for the explanation. Now I finally understand the reason behind this. I'm not talking about Kaioshin_Sama specifically, but I do believe some people register only after finding out that they couldn't vote. Right now, the only instruction for unregistered users is
Yet, I assume many unregistered users have attempted to vote their ratings without registration. Unlike adding a title to My Anime (which, for unregistered users, will show the message "To view this page, you must be registered (and logged in)"), there's no instruction regarding User Ratings. How about adding "...contribute information to this page or rate this title, but first..." in the line? After all, there are much more users would like to vote rather than contribute (sigh). On the other hand, I found a surprising increase of similar posts recently. Any idea for the reason behind this phenomenon? |

Thanks for the information on how to manage rankings and such. I have a theory on why myself and others have such difficulty with this feature. More often then not my eyes tend not to drift any further then 3 quarters of the way to the right of the page, where there is often space reserved for advertising. I'm used to the options being somewhere around the top of the page so, it didn't occur to me to look in the box to the right, (That and it appears so small on my monitor).
