FMA is the third most popular manga series! Good to see such an excellent series getting the sales it deserves

Huzzah for Kimi ni Todoke!
Seeing it appear not once, but twice on a list sporing such heavy-hitters as Bleach, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist AND Japan's love-it-more-than-oxygen, One Piece makes me tremendously happy.

One Piece is king once again. FMA is up there too.
Not a single crappy vampire novel in sight.

You do realized this is single tank ranking and not total tanks per year right? three other series on the list still beat it out by a margin

I"m not sure why you would try to gauge popularity based on total volume sales per year as opposed to sales per volume. Not all series are on the same release schedule.
Nana for example is without a doubt a lot more popular than the rest of the series on there (with the exception of One Piece) but it only had one volume release. So it likely wouldn't be that high up on a total sales of volume released in the year.

^Exactly. Fullmetal Alchemist is a monthly series, thus it gets less compiled volumes per year than Bleach or Naruto.

I love how One Piece, FMA, Naruto, and Bleach basically own this list

It's great to see NANA on the list, but I'm hoping Yazawa gets better soon so she can finish off her fantastic series! A return probably wouldn't give it much of a shot at getting ahead of the latest volume of One Piece, but it might be able to get close.
