I'm looking to get all 3 artbox only without the dvd but rightstuff is charging 20 buck each. I tried looking it up at other online retailer for maybe a cheaper price and none seeem to carry them except animenation (which only carried the first artbox for 17).

Rightstuf is really the only place on-line that I see empty art boxes for sale. The only other place that I can think of is Ebay.

Do you have the actual DVD cases for each volume, if so and you really like the series enough to buy a box for each season you can get customized metal boxes from Paul Champagne and his counterpart, Sonryu. Here's what they look like:

"Wandering Samurai" (eventhough he's not) season

"Legends of Kyoto" season

Or:

Here's a pair that holds both seasons and can also connect to each other to make a more complete look.

The prices vary and I think the average is $30 or so, but they're all metal instead of wood or the usual cardboard for most other sets.

If you have any questions, you can e-mail him. Here's his site and here are some other selections from Sonryu's site.

Other than this, I couldn't find anything else aside from TRSI and eBay. Good luck!

Wow! Those are some cool looking boxes! Very Happy

Also getting the art boxes isn't the best of ideas if you're looking for something stylish to place your Kenshin DVD’s in. The accompanying sleeves scratch them up big time. I suggest sticking with the regular single-disk cases if you have them, or try putting them in thin CD jewel cases if you're short on space.

Yup. Like this:

Some are Limited in quantity like this one, while others aren't, like some of ADV's or FUNimation's.

35 + Shipping dollar for a custom color box, I don't think it's metal or is it? Kind of expensive though. But if they make a really good metal Samurai Champloo box with even nice art (like Jin on one side, and Mugen on the Otherside, than I'll definitely get that.

Yup. All the boxes are metal. I know it's expensive but at least the boxes won't get as banged up or anything (unless you're really rough with 'em for some weird reason Anime dazed). I'm sure he could make a Champloo one, but he'd probably have to ask Geneon for permission, which could take a while. But who knows? If you can come up with a good enough design and have the patience to wait, he might just make it for you Wink.

30 dollar a box, so that's like 100 dollar for 3 empty box with shipping.

As for the SAmurai Box, I can scan my manga to extreme size like the ones below. With a little touch of editing, they would look good. I think they would make nice side art and have fuu on the spine with the logo. But we'll see if he get permission or not. But the box won't be made unless there's a good amount of people who wants one.
