Ah darn, I went to several of his panels, but I missed what sounds like the best one.
Oh well, this is good news nonetheless.

Cool, though I seem to remember an article about this here a while ago ('Desperant' rings a bell). I wonder if this new series will have the same artistic sensibilities as Lain?

This is great news. I wonder if it is unrealistic to hope that the series might be ready by spring 2010?

Cool! I'll definitely be looking forward to this one! I've loved all of ABe's work that I've seen so far, and Lain is one of my favorite anime ever.

It's May 20th . With anime dying in terms of quality, hopefully Abe can pull something off with the Lain staff at his disposal.

consider me really, really, ridiculously excited. I have a load of respect and appreciation for his visions. I don't expect this to disappoint.

This is great news, I had a tough day and it cheered me right up (that and discovering Engelbert Humperdinck wrote, or at least performed, a song called "Lesbian Seagull", and a very tasty milk chocolate mousse with a gooey chocolate coating and a sponge base).

This is the greatest news in years. Really hope that they're bringing back all of the main players (yoshitoshi ABe, Yasuyuki Ueda, Chiaki J. Konaka, Ryutaro Nakamura, Yota Tsuruoka).
Cannot wait to see what they come up with.

Great news! A welcome return, it's been too long...
ABe was at Anime Central the year before they moved to it's present location, he signed my DVD cover for the first volume of Lain & it's one of our favorite keepsakes
