The UC shall never end...
(Not like that's an entirely bad thing) |

I love CCA, but I feel like I need a little more closure. Maybe this will help. |

Unless Tomino is directing, I won't be interested.

Watch your backs, people. It's only a matter of time till Codename:V arrives to complain about this. Go to pretty much any mech blog out there, check the comments, and you'll find him complaining about something. Usually attributing it to 'fags' in some way.
I'm curious as to how they're going to work a fairly long novel series into a movie (or not, as the case may be). At least this time, unlike with F91, it's intended as a movie from the outset.

Personally, I fall into the camp of those who don't really appreciate Tomino as a director. I would've liked to see a another director handling this, with Tomino as story editior. |

I hope my friend doesn't hear about this. She was in a Gundam discussion panel at a con and when she heard them mention "Gundam Unicorn" she completely cracked up and couldn't stop laughing for a good 10 minutes.

The novels for CCA (respectively Char's Counterattack and Beltorchika's Children) are pretty cut and dry as to the ending; Tomino did the film to be mildly ambiguous, though one can still interpret its ending to achieve the same goal that the novels did. ======================= All in all, I'm excited to hear about Unicorn being made into an anime. Even though everything I've heard about Gundam 00 is good, I primarily consider myself a UC Gundam fan out of the entire franchise. I'd like to know what the format would be; despite the format being dead, I think a long OAV similar to Stardust Memory or 08th MS Team would be an optimal length for it. I'm looking forward to more news about it. EDIT: Reprints of the novel available, need to hit the bookstore. I'll probably struggle with it, but I've always wanted to at least have a copy of Unicorn and also Sentinel. |

Honestly, I loved all of Tomino's gundam anime, and other directors have done nothing for me. Didn't like Wing, didn't like Seed, didn't like G Gundam, absolutely didn't like 08th MS Team, and I only sorta liked 0080, but not a lot. Personally, I think only he does the comic-bookish mecha political space operas in the proper Gundam style. I am also am getting sick of Bandai milking so much money off of his creation, so he deserves it for that reason as well. |

I honestly haven't heard or seen a lot about Unicorn, but the mecha design was pretty dope from what I remember back in the day. Add to it that since I hear there are couple of books of it, we might actually get a decent series from it.

Personally I'm very interested.
I only like the UC Gundam shows, the others while interesting enough seem to lack something. There is a certain element of the relation between soldiers, civilians and war that makes the UC shows stand out. Sorry for being so vague, a bit under the weather today. |

While I'm looking forward to this because I love the Universal Century, I'm looking forward to it the most because now people can stop whining about Sunrise not doing anything for the 30th anniversary. I was getting annoyed by all the complaining by Gundam fans. Also, the people who were so dead set against Gundam 00 have an alternative now, too.
I'm sure they'll find some way to complain about this too, though. As far as whether I want Tomino to be involved or not, as much as I love Tomino (he's probably my favorite anime director, having directed at least five or six of my favorite anime titles), I think he should just take a minor role in supervising and other elements. After those terrible Zeta Gundam movies, I'm a bit cautious about his involvement in an anime project. Glad that there's more Gundam coming, though! |

I hope it's be a series, I don't know these novels but I don't believe the will be able to properly adapt a series of novels in a movie, or even some OAVs.

They did a fair job with Char's Counterattack. Though they did change a few things from Tomino's Beltorchika's Children novel. |
