Well, at least it was a stroke of cleverness that the descriptions for the two movies share the same taglines.
But it's DBZ...and it's a pair of DBZ movies. I can't say much else... |

Movie 9 was one of my favorite Dragon Ball Z features. My only problem is how little development Bojack got, due to the short length. Not that I expect DBZ villians to be all that well-developed, but Bojack really would have benefitted from a little more background. The showdown at the end between him and Gohan is still pretty cool.

I have to say, these two aren't my favorites. However, in order to complete my collection, I'll still be buying them. Plus... ya gotta love those original Japanese DBZ movie titles.

Movie 9 is my favorite of the two, but I was quite disappointed when Mirai Trunks and Gohan didn't get to fight against each other in the tournament. DBZ movies aren't the finest products of the series, but they are fun for as long as they last, and you still have to give props to Takao Koyama for capturing the personalities and charm of the characters in the absence of Toriyama.
I also wonder when Funi will ever license the DBZ OVA: Plan to destroy all Saiyajins. I watched some subs and I must say it's my favorite DBZ side story. |

That's just original footage released from the video game of the same name. It's a side story, though. I enjoyed all the same.

Man, I had no idea, . The video quality was so good when I watched it that I mistook it for an actual OVA. No wonder I couldn't find it in any of the online Japanese stores. |

I was fooled, too. But every once in a while, depending on how well cut together your copy was, I think they showed the map screen, so that should have been a tip-off. Playdia was one of those things that might've been really fun to own if I was a little kid. |

^^ DaizEX is a wonderful site for Dragonball information, plus they have a kickass weekly podcast!!
Movies 7 and 9 aren't my favorites either, but they do have their moments that make them at least worth while. *Can't wait for double feature of 12 and 13* I don't know what this review is going on with placing the dub higher, quite honestly. No, I'm not letting my personal choice of the Japanese voices play the deciding part in that one, its purely the script changes and rewrites that take away from the original spirit and charm. Slapping on the original Japanese score does not lend it more credibility, especially when almost all the insert songs in the movies and series are cut out in said sound track. |

The bojack ovie was my favorite just because Gohan was my favorite character and really got no love in the series. The last part was good.

Knowing that they had already released a DVD version of this gives me some hope. As far as I know, Japan is currently in the process of re-releasing the DBZ movies, so I hope that they won't forget this as well. |

Really like them when the movies was showing on CN,even though it was edited. I'm definately getting this box set to see what i missed.
though it would've been nice and a lot better if they had just did a movie box set including the GT movie instead. |
