This will be fun to see how much they try to Americanize Japanese history for the kids.

You know literally nothing about the translation, why in god's name are you already assuming things?

I knew they would localize this game and I can't wait to play it. It'll be a good way to wait for BW2.

Works for me; I would have gone for "Pokémon Tactics: The Ambition of Nobunaga" but whatever works.
And yes, the RSE remake is far over due. As odd as it sounds, since Fire Red the remakes have been the centrepiece of each generation.

When have they ever not heavily Americanized something Pokemon in the US?
Nobunaga's Ambition is the title of the other franchise in the US and it's absent from the title of this game, probably for having a Japanese name in it. That's not the best start

What does a R/S/E remake have to do with another game in the series getting localized?

Since when has Pokemon been set in a Feudal Japan before? Sure it will be localized to some extent, but they're not putting it in New York or something. Also, Nobunaga's Ambition has pretty much no recognition in America, so it wouldn't do them a whole lot to put it in the title anyway. Heck, regardless of Pokemon being in the title, people will decide weather they want to buy it or not because of Pokemon.

Wasting of resources in this game when we should be having a proper R/S/E remake instead.

Uh, from what I understand, Nobunaga's Ambition isn't set in Feudal Japan, either. It takes place in a new region named Ransei.

From the screen shots so far, characters keep their first name like the Japanese version.

Temco-Koei developed the game, not Game Freak. Game Freak was doing Black & White 2 at the time this was being made, presumably.

They romanize japanese puns to make them American puns, with Pokemon Conquest you would basically have to remake the game as the game is based on the Warring Period, and all the enemy warlords are taken from that time period.
