So, it's about Fujiko?
(Not that I would mind.) |

Miyuki Sawashiro returns at Fujiko. I always prefer originals but she did great in all her other Fujiko roles. cant wait

Having Fujiko as the lead and being directed by the same woman as Michiko e Hatchin makes this very interesting. Lupin III is reliably entertaining enough to always merit some attention, but this actually has me curious. Fujiko is a cool character, but is sometimes lowered to being defined by her cheesecake appeal or by her relationship with Lupin; this, however, could be something refreshing.
I also find it interesting that Mari Okada will do the series composition. I haven't seen anything that she's worked on, although I've been meaning to watch Red Garden for nigh a year, and her record seems ambiguous, but having women responsible for direction and series composition is a rare enough thing to be noteworthy. The designs in the accompanying image are interesting too. I like the look of it a lot, but all of the men do look rather menacing and sinister. I wonder if it means that Lupin et al will be less affable rogues and more dangerous criminals in this series. That too, could be refreshing. I really very eager to see this. Somehow, this had flown completely under my radar, until now. Well, no more - now, I must see it. And Kouichi Yamadera as Zenigata? Hell yes. I hope the music ends up as stylish as those re-interpreted designs are looking.

Well, this just shot up my spring watch list. Character designs by Takeshi Koike? Yes please!

It certainly isn't improbable. CR appears to have forged a relationship with NTV in Fall 2011 (when they picked up Hunter x Hunter and Chihayafuru). |

Hmm. I didn't like "Michiko &Hatchin," so my enthusiasm is definitely lowered, but I'll still watch it. Hopefully the promo art isn't too far off from the show's actual look either, cause that would be awesome!

About time it was finally announced - and good timing as Discotek are releasing season 1 this year. |

Sweet, I've recently fallen in love with the Lupin gang, and I'd love for there to be a series that revolves around Fujiko, (hopefully her and not her breasts, but we shall see). For once, I might actually catch this week to week instead of waiting for the whole series to come out to check it out.

Well, this is good news... I guess. 13 episodes is way too short (whatever happened to 26-52 episode anime?). I'll watch it anyway though. It looks neat!

This upcoming season now looks even more impressive. I'm lovin' the match up of Yamamoto and Koike.

If anyone wants an idea of what the show will probably look like in motion, here's a "sneak peek":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5eN4Dq83Xg In actuality, this is a trailer of a Pachi-Slot machine by Heiwa released late last year. It was also Fujiko-centric ("Fujiko: 10-Billion-Dollar Goddess") and featured character designs by Takeshi Koike, also the character designer for the upcoming TV Series. I've long speculated that it was going to be a tie-in with the TV series, but the series was delayed several times from its initial announcement for Fall 2011, and I imagine Heiwa just got impatient and wanted to launch. |
