If the dub is in Chinese it's usually a pirated copy.

Pirates wouldn't be so dumb to spend money on something even legal licensees wouldn't buy i.e. cast a group of VAs to dub a title, and fandubs are more scarce than cures of cancer.

Didn't see this in the list.... http://www.hmv.ca
Though their site is more of an online catalogue for their store [I use it to order anime they don't stock in store].

A casualty of the crises in Japan, it looks like beNippon http://benippon.com has closed down.

You can now buy anime off Wal-Mart Canada's website.

http://store.walmart.ca/

Took them long enough to finally have an e-store up here in Canada.

Surprised this isn't already on the list. More for the manga fans than anyone, but:

www.the bookdepository.co.uk

Free worldwide shipping, even if you only order 1 book, and prices are comparable, if not cheaper than Amazon. Lots of stock, as well. Very prompt shipping to the UK, obviously. I've had stuff delivered in 2 days.

And from my home city:

www.animez.co.uk

Lovely little shop that sells figures, T-shirts and other merch, both imported from Japan, and produced in the West. It's all genuine, and they have an online store as well. I know nothing about figures, but they seem to carry quite a few straight from Japan and their prices seem reasonable. If you're ever in Newcastle, pop in Smile

Didn't see these two anywhere...Otherwise im blind Anime hyper

http://www.yesasia.com \\ http://global.yesasia.com
(sells legit Chinese, Korean and Japanese released items)
http://www.play-asia.com
http://www.nippon-export.com
(only takes a certain amount of orders as they are a small group of people)

YesAsia I believe has better prices, but PlayAsia is a much more inviting storefront.

I believe it's www.thecnl.com, not www.cnl.com. Has anyone actually ordered from it? The DVD's look legit but I can barely find anything about it on the web except some pages about sales.

Play N Trade Canada joined the ranks of retailers selling anime, manga and merchandise from official sources working hand in hand directly with publishers and studios. Online sales will be updated at a later time in upcoming weeks.

Please note that currently anime is sold in stores only in Canada but should expand later on. You can find our stores selling anime in the store finder on funimation.com.

Thanks guys and have a nice weekend,

Questions and comments can be sent via forums in this post or directly to me I will answer 8am-8pm EST week days.

You're telling me. I've been looking for End of Evangelion for awhile now and just when I think I found it, some issue pops out of nowhere hindering my progress.
