and if the dvd will be travelling via mailer, wouldn't there be high odds of it getting scratched up (as any netflix/bb/walmart subscriber would be familiar with)? or is it travelling in better protection?

Well when I sent my GitS: SAC Vol.1 DTS DVD in to Bandai they sent it back in a paper jacket and with bubble wrap on the inside and the DVD was unscratched. Although, I'm not sure if Dreamworks is as meticulous.

You can expect at least the same treatment as Tony K got from Bandai. Bubble mailer with DVD in a paper sleeve. If for some strange reason, the mailman decides to sit on your DVD and destroy it, just send it back again.

Just noticed at Rightstuf, they had a paragraph that showed where the "v4" could be found.

"DVDs with corrected Subtitle/Caption Tracks will indicate the corrections on the DVD top-spine sticker with a printed "v4"."

In other words, the annoying sticker on the top of the case that you have to peel off/'break open.
