A new novel "Seikai no Senki IV" is out and a new anime "Seikai no Senki III" has been announced. A big surprise (to me)!

Can anyone confirm this?

It has been confirmed that the new Seikai novel is out. It can be found on Amazon.co.jp. The only American vendor I know that carries the entire series of novels is Sasuga Books. They've informed me they will have the 7th Seikai novel (Seikai no Senki IV) available for order online within the week.
As for the new anime Seikai no Senki III, there have been mixed reports, and I haven't seen anything official (except for the ANN bullet point about it).

Most brand new anime DVDs have their MSRP set at $29.99.

Most brand new movie DVDs -- for new release movies that have never been released on VHS before -- have their MSRP set at $29.99.

The difference is that many retailers drop their everyday price on new release movie DVDs, or have a big sale that lasts a fairly long time, because they expect to sell far more copies of a popular new release movie. Anime doesn't sell as well, so their everyday price will be at, or closer to, MSRP.

However, if you are paying MSRP for anime DVDs, you are shopping in the wrong place. I use an online retailer that carries both anime and regular movie and TV DVDs (I figured they wouldn't be selling bootlegs, unlike most anime-online online cheap-DVD retailers) and regularly discounts most titles at 40% off MSRP -- lower than even the best sale prices at most bricks and mortar stores for anime OR movies.

This wouldn't happen to be www.digitaleyes.net, would it? I've used that place a couple of times, and the stuff there is really cheap, definately a good place to shop for legal, cheap DVDs.
