You know, there are countries in the world not called Us where people don't make a fuss or care about bare skin for a fictional 2D drawings. Smile

The main problem here would be the children walking down the street. I highly doubt this guy hasn't been criticized.

I think it's fantastic. But there are limits.

Personally not a huge fan of this one. Sort of clever, but it really takes the garish aspect of Itasha to it's fullest extent.

BlackPoint. was specifically talking about the fact that the entire back window is covered in a way that most likely blocks the view from the driver seat. Where I live, that's illegal. That's the issue, not the picture itself, but what impact it has on the driver's ability to see.

Whoops, I misread that. That is an issue.

Hmm... Since he's driving around in broad daylight, you would think the authorities would notice something like that right away. It's not exactly a subtle car, after all. Anyone here know the road laws in Japan that might be able to shed light on the situation? Or did this guy just get lucky?

Plenty of vans over here have the back window covered or not there at all.

That was one way to subvert the expectation of seeing a panty shot. . . . .

If I saw someone with that kind of car in public I'd probably laugh my ass off not that I wouldn't mind pimping out my car in Itasha decals I just hope the "painful" part doesn't mean you get the crap beat out of you. Confused

Painful means it's cringeworthy.

Regarding covering windows, these are very likely the type of wraps that are used on buses and advertisement vehicles. There are perforations that allow you to see out: http://www.insightsigncompany.com/what-is-a-car-wrap/

Quote:
Q. Can I see through vinyl on the windows?

A. You can see through window graphics that are printed on perforated window film. Window perf vinyl is perforated with very small holes that allow you to see out. From inside the vehicle, visibility is similar to regular window tint. From the outside, the graphic is visible.

Somewhere in Japan, a mother checks her twitter feed & lets out a cry of anguish, recognizing the number plate hidden under the skirt.

Massive respect to the guy who had that done and drove it around. It looks fab. Perfect colour (and my fave) and the perfect girl.

Not really. Real people are allowed to dress like that and walk around in public with no problem. Since nothing is shown, even nudity laws cannot be applied.

This kind of car art is very common in Akihabara. I saw many cars there with anime themes.
I remember a very good one with Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha art.

Its a very artistic kind of tuning.

This one is very cute Golden Darkness Yami art car.
That way to only reveal the license plate is very smart.

Can't imagine the time and money spend to transform the car in this piece of art.
What a great work for the owner of this car.
