We have US/Canada for now. We're still looking into the possibility of streaming elsewhere.

Fun, classic and insightful little OVA series- glad ANN picked it up, and plan to stream both OVA's.

Yeah, since I'm an American living in Japan right now, that sure would be nice. Japan would probably be about the hardest country to get for that, though. Still, there's some market for English language versions here, and I think some Japanese might even be interested for English-language learning. Oh well, one of these years maybe . . . . |

I'd prefer to own it on DVD. Streaming is a pain sometimes.

Watched Grrl Power the other day. Absolutely fantastic!!!
It's like he channeled the essence of Kodocha into just... an OVA... Yeah, uh, I sucked at that.... whatever it was. eheh... But seriously, if Kuromi is ANYTHING like G. Power and Kodocha I'm gonna find myself having a GREAT time! It's nice to know Justin (and Zac ) have great taste in directors, humor, life lessons, and mixtures of both. And if it's about production, well I just hope it does a better job than Otaku no Video, which was, to me, not AS great or as funny as it should've been. Yes I got some nice info from it, but.... I can't help but think that it was made for humor than preaching. Still, I'm a HUGE fan of Daichi, Kodocha, Now and Then(, Here and There), Grrl Power, and.... Lisa Ortiz. Sooooo, hurry up ANN! |

The first one was quite entertaining IIRC (it's been quite a while since I last saw it, so I'm looking forward to a chance to see it again), while the award-winning ARK2 is still one of the funniest anime I've ever seen. See this review I did back in 2006 for the full rundown. |

I didn't enjoy OnV, when I saw it. I think it was much more about the fan culture of that time, and more specific to Japan, than anime itself. ARK (haven't seen the second one) is very specific to anime (or even animation in general), and I think does a good job of balancing the humor with the actual industry processes. Of course, I also have a degree in animation, so I understand a lot of those processes as well.
Again, when I have income again. After 9 months unemployed, my savings are going to food and bills. |
