I hope that anyone using this has a good connection. Anytime my mom has used it to call my brother, the sound quality was less than ideal.
But, it's not a bad idea. At least it offers people a chance to avoid travel expense just to take a class. |

I think he's a good actor. Try listening to him as Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4, and you'll see that he does have talent. |

I wish I had the money and the courage to take acting lessons from a professional. I would be too nervous. I'll just stick to becoming an animator. No offense to Flynn but I really wish it was someone else like Greg Ayres, Chris Patton, David Lucas, Yuri Lowenthal, Justin Cook or Vic Mignogna giving the lessons then I might make the effort.
NOOOOOO THAT CAN'T BE TRUE!!!!!!!!! There goes my dream of becoming a voice actor

Why would you be nervous? Voice actors are just human beings, sometimes not even that.

To be fair, the entire entertainment industry is difficult to break in to. Nothing desirable is gained easily. But I get what Greg's trying to say.
Too true. Skype w/ at least 1 bad connection is frustrating. |

I don't think I would pay for lessons, but Quinton is a cool guy, and seems pretty nice from the times I've seen him, so no reason to insult the guy. I've seen him to tons of commercials on television and radio though. He's one of those guys that diversifies his work, rather than just doing anime. He also plays Kael'thas in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

You must be joking me, 75 dollars for a 45 minute lesson? Please, I'd rather pay that amount to hire a shrink to tell me why people would be willing to do that.

It comes down to perceived value. It is a one-on-one lesson and classes of any type usually aren't cheap. Admittedly, I wouldn't pay it either, but that is the beauty of supply and demand. If people don't go for it, then the price will go down. |

The Anime dubbing industry is not getting work, but there is still some work for voice actors, such as in commercials and video games. From what I've heard, from Tony Oliver, that's pretty much where things are going. Dubbing is a subset skill of acting (That's why it's Voice ACTING). A lot of actors take voice over classes to help their technique. As far as the availably of work goes, it has never been especially great for actors. From my experience from voice acting classes and singing classes $75 for 45 minutes is pretty much within the standard price (though I would've made in $10 cheaper) |

I am pretty sure that the's role that PenguinTruth is talking about. Though the problem with Raiden is with his dialouge not Flynn. No one can make "Did you say nerd", "we mangaged to avoid drowning" and the entire relationship with Rose work. |
