Mighty Jaxx Expands Japanese Collectibles Lineup with Five Iconic IPs Amidst Global Anime Boom
17 April 2025 – The Mighty Jaxx Group (“Mighty Jaxx”) is pleased to share the recent wins of five iconic Japanese intellectual properties (IPs) – Bleach, Digimon, Godzilla, Naruto and Tamagotchi! into its growing portfolio of global brands that includes the likes of Toei Animation, Sanrio, Hasbro, Warner Brothers and Nickelodeon among others.
This strategic expansion of licenses rides on the growing global popularity of Japanese anime and reinforces the brand's commitment to creating culturally resonant collectibles for fans around the world.
The Japanese pop culture boom is not just driven by nostalgia—it's being fueled by a younger generation of fans through streaming platforms, gaming crossovers, and the rise of both physical and digital collectibles. At the same time, a massive base of older, long-time audiences remain loyal fans of these franchises. Together, they contribute to the genre's large and global following—especially as Western entertainment giants like Netflix and Disney expand their anime offerings, bringing them to wider audiences and driving demand for collectibles tied to these franchises.
These Japanese IPs have shaped generations of entertainment for fans worldwide, and Mighty Jaxx is now set to reimagine these timeless characters through its signature fusion of art, storytelling and design. Mighty Jaxx's latest IP acquisitions will offer fans a way to relive iconic moments, and own a piece of pop culture themselves.
Fans can look forward to a wide range of collectibles that cater to both casual collectors and those who seek more premium collections. This includes blind boxes, plush toys, art toys and luxury collectibles – each with a unique artist style.
“This expansion will cement our role in shaping the future of collectibles and pop culture, bringing fans closer to their favourite worlds in unprecedented ways. By leveraging our artist partnerships and unique designs, we're excited to bring these cultural icons to life in a way that speaks to both longtime fans and new collectors,” said Jackson Aw, CEO of Mighty Jaxx Group.
No longer confined to anime and manga, Japanese franchises are shaping global entertainment, fashion and gaming–seen in high profile collaborations with major brands, virtual integrations in gaming platforms, and the rise of anime-inspired streetwear. This convergence fuels even greater demand for collectibles, as fans seek ways to own a tangible piece of this cultural movement.
The acquisition of these new IPs builds on Mighty Jaxx's previous successes with popular anime series One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen. Mighty Jaxx's unique releases, such as Freeny's Hidden Dissectibles, which features artist Jason Freeny's distinctive dissection style and Kwistal: Jujutsu Kaisen Battle Ready, have earned the brand a reputation for blending unique art styles and fan- favourite characters into one-of-a-kind collectibles.
With the global anime market poised to grow to US$70 billion by 2032 1 , and the toy and figurine market projected to reach a market value of $49 billion by 2034 2 , the demand for collectibles inspired by these IPs are stronger than ever. This momentum will favour Mighty Jaxx, presenting a unique opportunity for the brand to capitalise on the excitement surrounding the Japanese characters and bring the pop culture collectibles of tomorrow into the hands of collectors worldwide.
