Im just slightly confused about something, not sure if its spoilers but just in case. spoiler[Ok the symbol, why are there people with the symbol on there shirts and bags and stuff? Does this mean they're supporting him or something?]

spoiler[I think the Laughing Man has sort of become an icon or some sort of cult idol for all the disillusioned people out there, eversince the last case, before Motoko joined Section 9. Some small-time criminals want to emulate him, like that case when Section 9 had to protect the police commisssioner as he was giving the speech and all these lunatics wanted to gain fame by pretending to be the Laughing Man and try to assasinate him. Some kids just think it's cool to worship an anti-hero.

spoiler[its also possible that the symbol showing up is a latent/benign virus remnant. The Laughing Man logo is shown to be an obvious take on the "Star Child" coffee chain logo, and just like with the logo showing up over someones face, maybe the image data is intercepted and the LM logo is superimposed.]
