Soshi SHIIHARA (椎原) (操志), 2 credits for recording Soushi SHIIHARA 椎原 操志, 14 credits for recording + 1 (very old) credit for dialog editing. You see, I already broke the kanji collision by putting brackets around the kanji for Soshi (for whom I set the kanji name). And with "Sou" being a valid reading for 操, "Soushi" may well be the correct reading for this person. Still, I wouldn't dare to request a merge without any evidence for the true name of this person (there's no ENAMDICT reading for 操志 so the name apparently results from the individual kanji readings). This is a perfect example for what I wrote here: I do have a preferred reading but not a guaranteed one. Last edited by Devil Doll on Mon Jul 19, 2010 3:53 am; edited 2 times in total |

Please split this person!
Soshi and Soushi are all of the same. Kyoto Animation Ending Credits will show 制作進行 and 設定制作 as Production Manager (制作マネージャー) and Configuration Manager (設定マネージャー) respectively. The main staff from TV Tokyo can be shown in Wikipedia. |

The Kyoani link (http://www.kyotoanimation.co.jp/sakuhin/rakisuta.html) you've given in Shiroi Hane's post is now given as an 404 error and it will be linked to the new page.

I've posted often in this thread over a few years you know so a link to the post wouldn't hurt.
Sometimes pages are moved or deleted. This is why the web archive exists: http://web.archive.org/web/20080410180801/http://www.kyotoanimation.co.jp/sakuhin/rakisuta.html The page has moved to: http://www.kyotoanimation.co.jp/works/lucky_star/ Although there is actually less information on it now. |

Shin'ichi Tōkairin and Shin'ichi Shōji
Both have been entered under Kanji 東海林真一 but the latter, with only one credit, has had the family name hidden years ago. There is one Japanese page that back up the Tōkairin spelling, however both anime@wiki and Allcinema use Shōji. ____ Toshimiti OTSUKI is an alternate romanization for Toshimichi OOTSUKI. The former's single credit is for the Nadesico TV series, while the latter is credited for the movie. |

When in doubt, I prefer other spelling sources over Allcinema. I've seen quite a few errors there already.

Does "other sources" include an old 2ch thread though?

Probably not. It's just that I rank Allcinema's spellings way below Japanese Wikipedia.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sadakazu TAKIGUCHI (滝口 禎一 according to livedoor wiki source of Akira) has been credited for 6 anime including Akira. But when I tried to enter the kanji name here I got that rejected with the message that the correct person would be Teiichi TAKIGUCHI (滝口 禎一, 10 credits) and I should contact "the encyclopedist" in this case. How is the state of this issue? Did someone confirm "Teiichi TAKIGUCHI" and if so, why weren't the 6 credits moved to him or both persons merged? Is it okay to move (flag&add) the credits from Sadakazu to Teiichi? I added the kanji name for Sadakazu in round brackets for the time being but would remove them when the issue were being resolved. |

"More than one person has the name 実原登: Minoru Mihara, Noboru Jitsuhara"
Both animators, timeframes line up. Both have worked on Shaft's Negima productions in fact. Japanese Wiki says Noboru Jitsuhara is correct. I haven't yet gone through checking sources agree (TODO). |

Hajime Shimomura is a misreading of Makoto Shimomura (下村 一). 1.

Isamu IMAKAKE
Isamu IMAGAKE Would appear to be different readings of the same name, 今掛 勇 ____ More than one person has the name 寺東克己: Katsumi Terahigashi, Katsumi Teratou Both animators (key animation up to storyboards and episode direction) "寺東克己" "てらひがし" has only one hit on google while "寺東克己" "てらとう" has four. |

Someone more knowledgeable about Korean names might like to help with some of these:
Youn-Hee JEONG Youn Hee JEONG Same name with and without the hyphenated given name. Aquarian age credits "Jeoung Youn-Hee" who I believe to be the same person. Hwang SOON-A Hwang SOON A Duplicates and both incorrect since Hwang is the family name. Possibly the same person as Soon-Ha HWANG? Jung-Hee KIM Jung Hee KIM A simple hyphen duplicate. Myung-Hee YOUN Myung Hee YOUN Likewise. Hye Mi SHIN Shin HYE-MI The latter is inverted. Young-Eim CHO Cho YOUNG EIM I believe the latter is inverted. Se-Kwan CHOI Choi SE KWAN I believe the latter is inverted. |
