I've actually read the Twilight manga and that manga is easily the worst manga I've ever read. No comedy, over dramatized characters and events and the action was as exciting as seeing someone knitting a sock.

Yeah, but it's getting Yen Press oodles of money. Which they can spend on licensing and releasing other, superior series. It's kind of like how Ron Howard keeps making adaptations of Dan Brown's awful books; it lets him then do whatever movies he wants in between. You're less worried about losing money and better able to take risks.

Indeed. Since we're extremely unlikely to get the Umeniko anime licensed (and we're STILL waiting for Season 2 of Higurashi/When They Cry), I'm hopeful that Yen Press might license the manga, and more money thrown their way definitely helps these possibilities.

Well, Black Butler's still doing fairly well it seems. Excellent. What with the second volume out next month, it seems it'll stay that way.

Yotsuba&!'s rocking of course. I can't believe some people doubted the sales prowess of that series.

The Wolf made the list?!
Damn, I really didn't think it was going to be popular. Awesome.

Then it's not that different from the books at all.

Eh, it followed the book closely, and I guess you can consider it a "serious shoujo supernatural drama" if you have to think of it as a manga. If you put keep it with that genre in mind, it actually isn't that bad. All the "action" will be in the 2nd half of the volume where Bella goes and decides to be vampire food like an idiot.

A bit surprised by seeing Spice and Wolf ranking so high on the list, but it is pretty cool. ^^ I plan to pick it up at Anime Central in a couple of weeks since I'm totally enamored with the series right now.

Just a correction, you guys have the cover for Nightschool volume three up but list it as number 1 (number 3 makes more sense since it was just released).

Is there actually anything worth reading in R+V?

I never read R+VII, but R+V was pretty entertaining. Nothing at all like that god awful anime adaptation.

Interesting...Every anime based forum I go on, Twilight is reviled, and yet the manga is selling so well.
