I'm not sure how old this news is but I just discovered it myself and thought it worth mentioning.

Both Chapters (Canada's bookstore chain) and Amazon.com have the same release date for volume 4 of Suppli: June 29, 2010.

I am super excited for this because honestly I wasn't sure if we'd ever see another volume of this series, even though Tokyopop said they were rescheduling things, not cancelling them (besides some of the OEL stuff).

Woohoo! That's great news! Now if TP would just let us know the status of Immortal Rain, my life would be complete. Very Happy

Tokyopop announced back in September that they would be restarting Suppli. Borders and Barnes & Noble also have it listed. I wonder where Borders is getting the 19.99 (B&N has a list price of 12.99 which sounds more accurate) from and how accurate the listings are for V.5-6.

I definitely plan to order the book but yeah, people who like this series (and the others who are on hiatus) may want to make sure they pre-order and stuff so that we don't see the series dropped after all.

I've already ordered my copy. I hope they do finish the series. America needs more josei.

They mentioned on their twitter site that 4 will actually be vol.4+5 bound together as a larger volume, which means for 19.99 you get 2 normal priced volumes. Nice. Hopefully they should be able to finish it off in 2 more omnibus collections since there's 8 volumes according to ANN's.

If you do a little digging around, you'll see that volume 8 was released in Japan earlier in 2009. Suppli ended on December 2009 and there was a side story that came out in February 2010, so in actuality there should be a 9th and final volume coming out soon in Japan. IF Tokyopop decides to continue releasing Suppli, the next 2 volumes after this 4-5 release should be just as thick.

Hopefully if the final vol isn't released in Japan, TP can get the rights to that mateiral and collect it themselves ala their BusGamer trade
