I would have cried if they did. Shugo Chara should be left untouched by someone like 4Kids. I have no idea what this show is that they licensed though :\ |

You mean they found 500 symbols in 39 episodes but it took 56 volumes for Inuyasha to find the jewel shards?

Awesome. Something new to watch on Saturday that I have no feelings towards so I won't care about changes. I hope its a hit so that 4kids can bounce back
but there's something about those kids and the kinds of character archetypes they're trying to portray...something...familiar...

There goes another one to be butchered. Series seems a bit like Nick's Avatar series blended with Yugioh/Dinosaur King or any card game series in general. Asian themed series geared for little kids have been popping up everywhere so I guess they're hoping this series will sell well.

neither would the Amuto fangirls either I couldn't have cared less if they licensed Shugo Chara or not cause I would still be able to watch the original Japanese version on CR

but if you read the last sentence it says:
the new fall season will include a number of new "substantial Japanese hits." hits.... plural, so who knows what all they got just yet, and with shugo chara, the only thing they might try to edit out would be the cross dressing boy, but taken in the right context, and dubbed properly they can do it....... without editing it I think shugo chara would be a hit with young girls, on the disney channel, especially if the crappy hanna montana can make money |

I hope they go for an Anime that ends up shockingly violent just so that we can laugh at the extreme edits they end up making.

Wha...what? 4Kids, are you serious with that? Don't make me laugh! If you're so concerned with bringing "wonderful Japanese programming" to America, don't scrub all the Japan clean off the programming. Let's be clear here and figure out what it is you really want... "4Kids needs to return to its roots as a licensing and merchandising company [that] specializes in bringing wonderful money-making programming and merchandising to the rest of the world so we can make money." |
