More importantly, what does the scouter say about his power level?

Aww, they're so lucky! They could only get luckier if they had Masako Nozawa, too.

For the announcements on our message board and website, we were required by the con treasurer to reference that, actually.
[/totally isn't stoked that she was the one who got to make the first public announcement of the guest]
Personally, though... there's supposed to be two more really big guests to be announced. I'm hoping they're involved with Naruto and Bleach. 'because then we'd have Naruto, Bleach, DBZ, and One Piece represented.

I would certainly agree, but I doubt the majority of those in attendance will consider it so. It's understandable, mind you.
However, I wasn't really aware that he also played Shun in Saint Seiya, which is at least slightly amusing.

Why is it amusing?
I noticed Vegeta & Shun both have attacks in English so I wondered if he didn't get at least some of his roles since he's one of the better Japanese VA's with English terms. It basically lines up that Saint Seiya ran 10/86-4/88 & DBZ ran 4/89-1/96 & Vegeta wouldn't have really been needed all that much in the Raditz arc. However, he was also Charmy/Dr Slump which is also Toriyama.
Not to mention Toei seemed to basically recycle everyone back then. Furuya was in a decent number of Toei titles as was Suzuoki.

Not for any negative reason, honestly, but simply because I'm largely unfamiliar with the Japanese dub for the series and thus didn't immediately associate Ryo Horikawa with that particular role. Regardless, it's good to see you've made some interesting observations that provide a little context.

Dessa: I see. I'm curious if he ever saw the video, and if he'd even "get" it.

Gahh, I'm so jealous of the US right now, I'm in pain.
Horikawa is a man of contradictions, varying from delicate if not downright effeminate roles such as St Seiya's Shun, Five Star Stories' Ladios Sopp and Nurse Angel Ririka's Buros (seriously, what the hell was that?!) to such citadels of testosterone as DBZ's Vegeta and Shining Force's Ragnadarm.
(Also in terms of character nature; GS Mikami's Yokoshima and Gineiden's Reinhard von Lohengramm are not exactly siamese twins...)
Not to mention that he manages to portray every role with great skill and credibility. Great actor!
One can't help but admire how versatile he is. Gee, what I wouldn't give to see this guy live! One of my all-time favourite voice actors, as well as my I-think-I-need-mental-treatment caliber obsessions... I can watch any crap as long as he's in it ^^;

Considering that the line is there in the original, I don't see why not (granted, it was "over 8,000" in the original, but the dub had to change it to fit the lip flaps). All his interpreter would have to say is "the line was changed in the English one, it became popular".

typo-Seiya ended in 89 which, as I noted, left him open for another series. The 2nd Funi cast were left having to come as close as they could to the original canadian dub so we can't even blame them for the drastic changes. Vegeta has a much smoother voice in Japanese than the gruff thug voice the dub gave him (was that Brian Drummond we have to thank? I forget) Zarbon also was Sho Hayami & a nicer tone.
I find it stranger that Cell is Norio Wakamoto who is huge it seems as far as the pro's go. I've seen him complimented by staff & cast many times.
The Toei observation extends to One Piece. I don't know if it's because it's Toei or because Mayumi Tanaka was Krillin, but we see a lot of DB/Z VA's pop up in One Piece. I see a certain similarity between young Krillin & Luffy (Young Krillin was rather evil in his way. Luffy can be quite evil, particularly towards Zoro). I noticed a lot of DBZ cast showed up in Requiem From the Darkness so I lean to the idea of the studio using actors they know.
