In Card Captor Sakura: The Master of the Clow, they edited Sakura's "Hoe" to "Phwee."
Also, I get the feeling that Tokyopop greatly edited the dialogue of Magic Knight Rayearth and Magic Knight Rayearth II. |

A friend of mine loudly proclaimed the translations of Magic Knight Rayearth to be terrible. He said they took away the beauty and intellect from it...dumbed it down. I think that opinion might be fueling the idea that Magic Knight Rayearth was editted.

Just some of the dialogue is Americanized, such as using the word 'dude' throughout the entire series. |

they tend to do that alot, like giving the characters in Get Backers hip hop lingo

They oughta go the whole way, y'know, like in BASEketball. What the North American comic-buying population is really looking for is a full five-page dialogue using only the word "dude." |

The "street lingo" given the Ban and Ginji were what the editors felt was the most appropriate adaptation for what the Japanese lingo was. They are supposed to talk like rough, street guys...but I agree some of the "trippy" words could've probably been tweaked a little. |

I'm not following. If you're saying that manga only has five pages of dialogue, I would advise you to read some of the series mentioned here. I assure you that most, if not all, CLAMP titles have more then just five pages of speech. |

There are a couple of scenes in the movie with dialogue like this: "Dude?" "Dude." "Dude." "Dude." "Dude?!" "Dude...." "Dude!" "Dude." |
