The first post stated this.... "According to Viz's website, they've just updated their release schedule for July and August. As you can see here and here, volumes six and seven of "Kenshin" will be released during these two months. Looks like "Kenshin" has gone from bi-monthly to monthly." Then EisoViz, one of the PR people for Viz said this "Actually it came as a result of the "unscientific poll" of how the reader would like to see future releases of long series...I believe one of the popular answers were as long as monthly releases had the same quality as bi-monthly...the readers would buy 'em at this advanced pace. Anyways, I do forward all of your comments and recommendations to the "decision makers". Whether they decide in your favor or not, in some cases, it's not in my hands. But many of us here at VIZ do highly value your opinions." http://forums.animeondvd.com/showth...ed&sb=5&o=&vc=1 |

I wonder if that "unofficial poll" was partly done on the ANN forum a while back
![]() Thank you Viz! |

Sooo happy! I've been collecting the Kenshin series, and I prefer it monthly as well. It's so much easier to budget buyinig manga that way, just set aside $10 every 4 weeks or so. When there is so much time between the releases, I tend to become distracted from the story and forget to pick up the next one (that is until I stumble across it at the bookstore).

Now, if only Naruto would go monthly, then I would be happy.

Kenshin is only 7.95 + tax. But yea, I get what you're saying about setting aside money. Kenshin isn't the only manga I'm collecting so it varies on the amount I set aside from month to month. Just wondering, why are people stealing topic from Animeondvd.com. |

I wouldn't say so much that they are stealing the topic from AOD (odd thought, what does manga have to do with DVD? ![]() Besides:
actually refers to this thread. Since it has been discussed on ANN forums before, it makes sense to discuss it again now. Personally, I'd love to see them release each title on a monthly basis. |

Let them finish Ranma. 14 years and not more than two-thirds done.

You said it! I need to get volume 3 for my birthday which is in like a week or so. Well, volume 4 is coming out at the end of this month (the 28th, i think) so you won't really have to wait long for that. As for Kenshin, I've been wanting to pick up the manga for quite some time but have never really gotten around to do so. Since more volumes are being release more quickly it'll be perfect plus the waiting time between volumes won't be so bad when I'm up to the lastest volume. |

It can't exactly go monthly. Viz doesn't want the books to get ahead of the Shonen Jump running, which only does 2-3 chapters a month. That and our local Barnes & Noble says vol. 4 is coming out on the 30th ^^ |
