No, Tivo is when you can record shows that play on TV, kinda like having a VCR. VoD is an actual set of channels on your cable or satellite that lets you watch the movie and pause, rewind, fast forward, etc. It basically streams the movie to you over your cable or satellite connection. Kinda like if you were to watch a music video on a website. It's basically the same thing, except that they quality is just as good as watching it on normal TV.
