Ugh, and I really like this series a lot more than Hot Gimmick, too. I hope it's not a long hiatus.

I don't really see the point of putting one series on hiatus to start another. Isn't that going to end badly for both?
Perhaps CLAMP just has me living in fear of good series not getting finished (I also am a fan of Honey Hunt...I need to start picking up the volumes to find out what happens after the last chapter published in Shojo Beat).

Not necessarily. I often put a story on hold to start a new book or short story. Often the one I stopped for a while is better when I get back to it. Sometimes the characters just stop talking to you and you need a break.

I feel the same about the titles Clamp put on hold way back there. The bad thing with manga is the authors rarely have the entire work completed when they sell it. Since it's a work in progress the initial brainstorm may flow easily, but at some point one might feel boxed in. Taking time off clears one's mind & maybe brings a fresh perspective on finishing up the work upon one's return. Even Mark Twain stated in one story he originally had a perfect ending, but had forgotten it & left the story for the reader to finish.
That she's launching another I also am familiar with. Sometimes an idea pops up in the middle of something else & one can't get the possibilities for that one out of one's head until one writes them down. At this moment this one may seem brimming with possibilities to the author

Well let's just hope this hiatus doesn't take like....you know, 3 years or something e__e.
I don't mind the break too much either.
Hope the new title is a good one.

Ugh, yeah I don't think I could handle another situation like with DNAngel. I can understand taking a break from a series to come back at it with fresh ideas, but there comes a point when people will have forgotten what happened up til the point you left off.
Well, it's not like I don't have plenty of other stuff to read, but still, hope she comes back to it quickly.
