Manga artist Miki Aihara (Hot Gimmick, Tokyo Boys & Girls) announced in a November 24 blog entry that she is taking a break from her Honey Hunt manga and launching a new manga in January. Aihara started Honey Hunt in Shogakukan's Cheese! magazine in 2006, and she put the manga on hiatus in the January issue last month. The sixth volume went on sale in Japan on December 24. The manga revolves around Yura, the daughter of a famous musician and an actress. When Yura's parents announce their divorce and Yura finds her first love entangled with her mother, Yura decides to become an actress to destroy her mother's reputation.
Viz holds the rights to the North American release. The manga ran in Viz's Shojo Beat anthology from September 2008 until Viz stopped the publication in July 2009. Viz has released three volumes of the manga, with the fourth one slated to be released in April 2010. Viz has also published two more of Aihara's manga, Hot Gimmick and Tokyo Boys & Girls.
Aihara also confirmed on her blog that she is working on the manuscripts for a new work called From Five to Nine (Go-ji kara Ku-ji made). According to the Cheese! magazine's website, the new manga will begin publication in the March issue on January 23.
