It's good to see that the Lucky Star OVA got an R1 release date. A bit sad to see that's it's only sub only but I'll live with it.

I'm surprised to see that Gundam 00 S1 Part 2 is coming out already. I know S1P1 got moved back to July, but still that's good to hear, but it may get moved back so I just have to sit tight and see what goes down.

I don't think that Sola is right. I checked my Got Anime account for upcoming releases for August and Sola isn't on there. I also went to Rightstuf and all they have for Sola DVD's is the single being released by HONNEAMISE for $49.98 and is TBA.

Anyways, sub only Lucky Star ova? Really? I guess Lucky Star just isn't making them as much money as they thought it would. I hope they can at least squeeze a box set out because that's what I've been waiting for.

That is odd, considering it was kind of a big deal here as well, and dubbing a 43 minute episode shouldn't be that hard and not that big of a blow. Maybe they don't think that it alone will sell hard enough? At least they priced it pretty low.

Maybe Lucky Star hasn't been as selling as well as they had thought it would, like Haruhi. There certainly was a lot of internet buzz, but I think it was more over the shock of the show being what it is more than people saying they'd ever feel compelled to own it. I know I wouldn't, even if it were pretty cheap.

Well, Lucky Star's SE Vol 6 was outright cancelled due to sales not being enough to justify it.

And just because internet buzz is high, doesn't always translate to great sales. Especially if there is already a heavy fansub presence before DVDs are released.

Okay, I can understand that Lucky Star didn't do as well as Bandai had hoped, but really to put out the OVA as sub only after dubbing the rest of the series seems kind of dumb. I hope Bandai isn't hurting for money so badly that they felt like this was a necessary move business-wise.

I guess the trilogy got pushed back then, since I remember it coming out in the summer. Still, no word on a .hack//ROOTS boxset, nor about the special Returner episode (unless they happen to include it in the Trilogy, but I haven't heard word on it.)

Now it's been confirmed via TRSI. Sometimes it takes a while before TRSI updates the dates for new releases, for reasons unbeknownst to me.

Yea I just went to their site and saw it and came to edit my previous post. Now I feel like an ass.
