I actually own this one. During the time when Suncoast as well as my local favorite comic book shop where trying to get rid of their back stock of VHS tapes to make way for DVDs they were selling off VHS tapes for as little as $1-$2 each. At that price I was more than happy to buy remaining titles off of them and this happens to be one of the ones I picked up.
It's something I never thought I'd see come up anywhere based on pure obscurity. |

Whaddaya know. I picked this DVD up a few years ago for around $4 when CPM announced it was out of print. Haven't watched it yet, but I never thought I'd see it in Buried Treasure.

At first I was reminded of Master Keiton. Some shows are forgotten after a couple of years, for example, Monster Rancher. It's a shame that some shows are forgotten though, especially if they were well made.
Hopefully the work load for that project your doing will ease up soon. I know all too well how sometimes you have to spend time on impportant events. |

[quote="jsevakis"]He's kicking his shoe off. Fake's VHS dub cover was pretty bad, but OTOH it sort of exemplified the sort of curiosity-of-the-bizarre feel that Media Blasters titles of the late 90s and early 2000s had. (Check out the utterly BIZARRE trailer as well!
That's gotta the most WTF trailer I've ever seen. It's more like a short music video aimed at people who have seen the title than a trailer directed at people who haven't seen it. Maybe it works for people who read the manga and have a clue what's going on... |

Well interested in this little title now, I do kinda like crime stories. As to the trailer, wow that was *ahem* unique Although even then I'm seeing a character that looks like Egon and definitely strong Yaoi. Also why does every one who wields a knife go for the French Chef? There are easier knives to use. |

Ah, but are they as easy to draw? ;p |

True but an equally large knife like the Butcher's knife would also have that intimidation value. And although it maybe easier to draw it shows up in live action to or at least on the covers of certain slasher /horror films. |

For those that want a new copy, HK Flix has it for $4.95.
Edit: Well, that went fast. Last edited by joelgundam00 on Fri Mar 06, 2009 11:15 am; edited 1 time in total |

No, I read the manga. There's nothing to "get", it's just terrible. |

I can't believe this came up in Buried Treasure either. Brings back shades of Robot Carnival or Angel Cop. If you are an Amazon Prime customer, we have about 165 copies of it left out there at Amazon's warehouse in Kentucky that we are liquidating. $4.85 per copy + free prime 2nd day shipping. This is a close out item and Amazon fills the orders for these directly. They've been sitting out there for some time selling off at 1 or 2 a week, and I see over 20 copies were ordered today so someone is still reading Justins columns... probably more people than he thinks. And hopefully a moderator won't jump on me for plugging that here since we clearly aren't making any money on them! Just trying to be helpful. Bob (aka Robert) The Anime Corner Store |

Well, you kinda reworked your price there, Bob. You were originally selling it for $1.96 (+$2.89 S&H). The way you have it set up now, you get more cash and Amazon eats the shipping. I wouldn't say you're making absolutely nothing now...
