The announcer voice... It's. So. Bad.
I really hope the film isn't going to be as generic as that trailer made it look. |

I forgot all about this movie.
Wasn't there a trailer for a Hellsing movie? |

The announcer is using a standard theatrical voice. It's not bad.
Loved the trailer. I hope this comes to R1 in theaters and a BD release. |

Probably would be PG-13 if it were released here, but the FX are pretty sweet. They look a lot cooler than that overrated Night Watch flick, too. Jun's English could use a bit more work, but it's not bad.

Gosh, the announcer sounded like he he was imitating Don LaFontaine, RIP. Why would they change the name of the movie in Japan though. Wasn't that the original name?

Looks like it will be worth watching. I think the creature effects are what will make this film stand out, or just catapult it into cheese. We saw just a few snippets of them in the trailers so it's hard to say. I will say I am kind of worried when that generic "zombie" looking guy growled, hopefully there won't be too many of those particular effects. But if they can keep the action sequences from being cut and pasted together then I think this could be very good.
You know I think this is a film where something like that won't matter much. I mean from the looks of it, they are playing the girl as a foreigner(to Westerners, if not then this would have been made in Japanese, or some other Eastern language), so in this case I think it enhances the realism. Assuming the problems I alluded to above don't manifest themselves of course. |

It looks pretty good. My only real complaint is that there is to much wire work and there really doesn't need to be any in something based on of Blood. That aside the effects look pretty good and the fact that the acting seemed to work was great. I hope we get a US release but I have a feeling it might go straight to DVD.

Yeah... it wouldn't be so bad if the voice over wasn't so crappy. He reminded me of the voice over for the old Xena: Warrior Princess opening.
I'm looking forward to this movie, crappy or not. It looks entertaining, and maybe even good for a few giggles, comedy meant or not. |

I was beginning to think that the only good anime adaptations would come out of Japan, but this looks pretty good.

As expected, it's in English, since it's a multinational release. Doubt the 27-yr-old Korean gal playing a 16-yr-old high schooler could speak much Japanese.
So.....uh........ I guess the subbies will be watching it in the original language with English subtitles? Anyways, it seems they definitely won't be following the TV series canon: Saya is a half-breed, no twin sister, probably no chevaliers too. |

It's based off of Blood The Last Vampire, not Blood+. |

So the BBFC is scared of girls with swords, and decided to give the flick an 18.
