Kaede Higuchi and Kanae's New Single 'Yummy Yummy' Chosen as Ending Theme for Upcoming TV Anime Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf

VTubers Kaede Higuchi and Kanae, members of the Nijisanji group operated by ANYCOLOR Inc., are set to release their new single “Yummy Yummy” on January 29, 2025. This song will also serve as the ending theme for the upcoming TV anime Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!, which will air in January 2025.

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! is a hybrid romantic comedy fantasy, blending slice-of-life slow living with isekai action. Written by Makishima Suzuki, the story follows Kazuhiro Kitase, a young man with the mysterious ability to travel to another world in his dreams, and Mariabelle, an elf girl who arrives in modern Japan after a certain incident. Together, they travel between their respective worlds, enjoying Japan's scenery and delicious food while battling monsters and conquering dungeons.

“Yummy Yummy,” the ending theme for Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! is a vibrant pop tune that naturally gets you moving. It evokes the image of someone imagining the flavors and textures of a variety of seasonal dishes placed before them while expressing the excitement and joy of trying new things.

The single will feature three tracks in total, including the title song “Yummy Yummy” and one solo song each by Kaede Higuchi and Kanae.

The jacket illustrations were specially created by yatoyato for the Limited Edition and Yappen for the Regular Edition. Both editions come with a trading card featuring their respective jacket designs. Additionally, the Limited Edition includes a slipcase and a booklet containing storyboards and illustrations for the “Yummy Yummy” music video.

Kanae
A soothing young man who descended upon us like an angel. He can often be seen holding a cat-shaped cushion, and his manner of speaking is equally gentle and airy. He appears to be a student, but it's unclear how he usually spends his time. With his sweet voice, he engages in conversations that seem to cleanse the listener's soul.

On July 27, 2022, he made his singing debut with his 1st mini album flores under the Lantis label. Using his gentle voice, he is venturing into a new realm as an artist.
