Anno, I totally worship the ground you walk on, but c'mon, You Are Not Alone vol. 1.11? How many more cuts of this movie can there possibly be?
However, I am excited for new movie Asuka. Best character ever.

What? A new version for a movie that come out just a few years ago? Ridiculous.

And unlike a lot of people, I'm going to resist a certain urge with this one, too, and wait a long time for the DVD.

Hopefully it's not too late for FUNimation to release version 1.11 instead of 1.01 like they first announced....

I'm kind of excited. I want to see the parts where the story takes a different direction and more Kawrou is always good in my eyes. I'm not Auska's biggest fan but the story wouldn't be the same with less of her.

A bit of a nitpick, but isn't the character designer's name Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, not Hiroyuki?

Alright! Evangelion is out three days after Transformers 2 comes out! I can't wait for the giant robot madness! Or Asuka, for that matter. Hell, that alone is enough for me to watch it. The rest is just collateral.

I agree. It is a disservice to Sadamoto san.

I'm going to be mega pissed if Funi isn't releasing 1.11 right away. Even more so if they (or someone else, by chance) releases it a few years down the line. Seriously. Would it kill them to put everything they wanted to the second time around? Or do they really find it necessary to milk it? With a Japan Blue-ray announced I hope we'll be seeing one across the pond, too.
Still, pretty excited about a release date for 2.0. Been looking forward to since the whole 4 films have been announced.

I was wondering, I've never seen the series, but I keep reading online about how great it is. But, older animation, in general, turns me off. So, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to just watch the movies?

What I'm hoping for in 1.11 is the absence of the wobbliness and film grain that 1.01 had. It all started digitally instead of on film, so there's no reason for a film transfer.
Also, Funimation totally got ripped off for acquiring 1.01. It'd be absolutely hilarious if another company acquired the rights to 1.11 and released it before Funimation releases 1.01. X3
