One interesting note that the panelists were able to make, however, had to do with Tenjho Tenge, one of CMX's longest series. Although there are no firm plans yet, s other publishers, such as Viz and Tokyopop have done, they will consider re-releasing it as a set of omnibus books that collect up to three individual volumes.

Get three times the edits for half the price. Rolling Eyes

Guess i'll stick to fanscans. So much for "supporting" the industry.

CMX can't give whan the fans want.....TOKYOPOP has gone to the shitter.....Viz is still churning along good, as is Del Rey manga......Am I seeing a trend here?

What's your beef with CMX? You write as if there were some bad news, but I didn't see any.

CMX did a lot of serious edits to Tenjho Tenge. That's the beef.

Though, I'll buy the 3-in-1 version if they have fewer edits like M-rated versions have. But I have to question why does something that's rated 18+ is still being edited....

Here is something that will surprise you and other whiners: Tenjho Tenge is not the only manga that CMX publishes. Shocking, I know.

I'm ok with CMX's handling of Shinchan, but some of their jokes are flatter than in the ComicsOne versions. Crying or Very sad

Yeah, you show those corporate bastards, how dare they try to make money by getting it out there in any form they can, like DBZ on US TV. Fight the powers that be, because it sure is showing DC up.

But I'll stick to the Tenjho anime, the manga sounded like it had loads of twisted fetish stuff in the late volumes...blech.

Considering how CMX dealt with the S&M stuff in the storyline....yes, stick with the anime.

Yeah, I'm no fan of CMX over the Tenjou Tenge deal either. Certainly not giving them any money for such a hackjob. Really looking forward to Shinigami's Ballad, though. ^^
