I didn't like the anime part of Kill Bill 1.
I think Production I.G. did a subpar job, at best. Or maybe its just my personal preference that anime not have a sort of "hand drawn" feel to it. Thats the best I can describe it, for now. Studio DEEN, who did the Rurouni Kenshin OVA's (Trust and Betrayal) should have done the scenes. I think they would have done a better job, personally. |

This could be one of the biggest anime hits in box offices in 2005 or 2006, depending on when it is released or if it's even in production. I would imagine that the majority of the people who see this movie would refer to it as a cartoon though.

Which wouldn't be a problem in my mind, because it is a cartoon...a cartoon that happens to have Japanese influence. |

Sounds great. Kill Bill volume one was the best film of 2003, in my humble opinion (not particularly the anime part, just the film in general), and I have been greatly looking forward to volume two, and now this!

Now even though i agree that the OVA's of Kenshin are superbly made i think the anime in Kill Bill is a really nice style. Production I.G. did a very good job i think...but i guess it comes down to opinion on the style. As for the news of this 'other' project, will it be a stand alone anime production overlooked by Tarantino? I hope so i'm a big fan of his and i really enjoyed Kill Bill |

Why, oh why must gore fests be so highly rated?

You're assuming it doesn't go to home video. And its R rating will hamper it from making more than $20 million. Shiki:
It's because people think Tarantino is a genius for stealing scenes from other movies and slapping his name on the final mess-I mean cut-he makes from them. |

Tarantino Planning a Third 'Kill Bill'
Apr 9, 12:35 PM EST "Kill Bill — Vol. 2" isn't even in theaters yet, but Quentin Tarantino says he's already planning volume three. "Oh yeah, initially I was thinking this would be my 'Dollars' trilogy. I was going to do a new one every 10 years. But I need at least 15 years before I do this again," the director tells Entertainment Weekly magazine in its April 16 issue. Tarantino says Uma Thurman, who plays a bride out for revenge in the series that began last year, won't be the star. "The star will be Vernita Green's (Vivica A. Fox's) daughter, Nikki (Ambrosia Kelley). I've already got the whole mythology: Sofie Fatale (Julie Dreyfus) will get all of Bill's money. She'll raise Nikki, who'll take on The Bride," he says. "Nikki deserves her revenge every bit as much as The Bride deserved hers. I might even shoot a couple of scenes for it now so I can get the actresses while they're this age." "Kill Bill — Vol. 2," co-starring David Carradine, Michael Madsen and Daryl Hannah, opens April 16. |

The man is either crazy or a genius for doing that.
