Hopefully, this will rise awareness with readers, as well as a lesson of sorts.
I am slightly currious on how the hikamori chapter will turn out, this is a subject that doesn't really yield much information. |

People interested in this should check out Deep Love (keitai novel, manga, drama). It certainly doesn't revolve around AIDS, but it does touch on sex and STDs (which we assume is HIV in the story), and it's a powerful read.

Is this sort of topic discussed in schools over there?
Regardless, I'd find this sort of medium to be a somewhat more effective approach than mere sex-ed classes. Brings back grave memories. |

I'm sorry, but AIDS awareness in comic form had no where to go but down after this gem.
