How exactly are movie shorts to be classified? I was thinking of adding in "Leave it to Kero! Theatrical Version" ("Gekijouban Kero-chan ni Omakase!"), the short that came with CCS Movie 2 (and released by Pioneer in SE-version of the DVD), but did not know whether to put it as "movie" or "special". Looking around, I noticed that Sailor Moon SuperS movie short "Ami's First Love" ("Ami-chan no Hatsukoi") is listed as a special, but I wanted to make sure on this.

They should be listed as Movies.
"Special" is for TV specials. |

Ah... thanks. Then I think the listing of Ami-chan no Hatsukoi as a "special" is incorrect then, as from what I've heard, it's a movie short that went with the SuperS movie. I believe it was released along with the SuperS TV specials on LD in Japan, so that may have caused some confusion. I'm not totally certain on that, though, so I'll check up and see if I can confirm it... EDIT: Just checked on Hitoshi Doi's Sailor Moon website. Ami-chan no Hatsukoi is listed as a movie, and it is mentioned as playing in movie theaters the same time as the SuperS Movie. |

Hello,
I submitted the "Ami-chan" title as a special. I found the "Submit New Information" instructions a bit contrdictory when applied to this title. It says a movie is, "a theatrical feature film or made-for-TV movie" and this is not a feature or a made for TV movie. It says a special is, "a one-shot episode, usually shown on TV". "Ami-chan" isn't a feature and special doesn't rule out movie releases, so special looked like the most appropriate category. I believe I noted that this was a movie special or movie extra and left it up to the encyclopedia staff to decide if special was the appropriate category. If this isn't correct I suggest that clearer instructions are needed. Chris |
