That's a pretty weird clip in my opinion.

Personally, the last trailer was the only good one, I'm hoping the show turns out as good as Champloo or Ergo Proxy, but i'm not keeping high hopes.

This trailer highlights one of worries about the series, which is that they're using voice actors who mostly have only live-action experience, and just because you're a good LA actor/actress doesn't necessarily make you a good seiyuu.
And could this series look any more femslashable?

They are prob doing it to get the male viewers to tune in. It looks like a type of title aimed at Western audience and may not do to well in R2. I hope it gets licensed for R1.

Please, PLEASE god let this have the golden touch of Shinichiro Watanabe. LET THIS BE REALLY GOOD.
Granted he's just the music producer, still looks like an OVERALL good production team, considering the director worked on the storyboard for Death Note and various episodes of Eureka Seven, Ergo Proxy and more.

At least it doesn't appear to be moe. Please let it be more "kick-ass, then "show-ass".

First impression: The cast of Bratz™ perform an homage to the "blaxploitation" films of the early 70's.

I have some moe from Hatchin, the girl fleeing her family. The rest of the ladies look to be ala Revi from Black Lagoon, sexy but kick-ass.

Let's see... according to ANN, Yamamoto Sayo directed the final episode of Ergo Proxy, as well as assisting on 5, 15, and 19 (those last two are really... odd, but good); he directed some episodes of Samurai Champloo (doesn't say which); and was assistant director on an OVA called "Trava" that I've never heard of but from which some of the cast members of "Michiko to Hatchin" come, which means he'll have had experience working with them. The character and art designers have solid résumés, and of course Manglobe has two good marks in their favor with Ergo Proxy and Samurai Champloo. I am cautiously optimistic, and looking forward to seeing whether it all works out.

Using live action actors worked a treat for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.

Yeah, it works sometimes, but not always. Like I said, I'm optimistic about this, for the most part.
