Just go out and buy the two seperate movies. Manga wasn't going to add anything new to the box set and it's not worth waiting around while they delay it like everything else they release.

Eh, Really...

I got the Movie Box set in Australia, and they usually release the exact same thing (As in EXACT same thing) as is released in the US.

Madman's DVD/DVD-BOX designs aren't always the same as their US counterparts.

I said "usually".

Truth be told, I like Madman's boxes better, they are sturdy and better manufactured (as in all the corners actually meet in the corner! Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop ).

But Madman, more often than not (from what I can tell), mostly just change the region code and sometimes the jacket. If they did the work themselves it cost them a lot more money, and they wouldn't have to put the US company logos on everything.

Sorry to be OT

Actually it';s slightly different, but I'll explain in a wonderfully non confrontational way.

For ADV titles, they don't have a whole lot of options because thats what they get. They pretty much have to stick with what ADV gives them, which in turn isnt too bad because it means it can get done quicker.

You'll see most of their other titles are licensed directly from Japanese companies, or they are given different artwork. For instance, hellsing has covers closer to the R2(JP) (and different menus), Macross is completely different (one three case six disc set, red and white with different artwork), their UV titles have better covers, umm... and a few other things.

Most of the menus, if not all, are totally different. Same with boxes.

Who's this "Madman" person? Does he make boxes for anime series?

I actually posted a link in the "Bebop Box Set" thread that links to a site where they can make customized box set covers to mimic the official ones. I guess that'd make them bootleg boxes though, right? I think he had one of the Eva movies though.

Madman are a group of companies that include licensing, authoring and distribution of anime, manga,live-action Asian cinema, and independent works such as this year's Oscar-winning "Harvie Krumpet".

Actually, Madman are part of a group, which includes several companies. Madman and their subsidaries (such as Asian Eye and such) License and author titles, where as AVChannel Distribute them.

It is commonly known as Madman Entertainment. It is basically Australia's only real Anime company. There are a few other really small ones, but Madman has the monopoly.

I like them though, they do really good work.
