Gaaah, I love w-inds. A boy band that actually has some talent. Their songs are always a little weird, but they get stuck in my head for daaays.

Ahhh, W-inds. I adore these boys. They've really grown up into fine men and their music have evolved also. Even though I really miss their Pre-THANKS era, I enjoyed their last album Journey.

I can't wait to give this one a go.

Thank you for the review. ^^

Journey is still my favortite album.

But the songs that I enjoyed from Seventh Ave were: Love is the Greatest Thing, Ame Ato, Beautiful Life, and One Love [from the Ame ato single] *Anime smile*

I love w~inds.

Hey, I didn't realize they have a new album out! I have to admit, even though I'm usually not so much into the "boy-band"-type groups, I definitely enjoy a higher percentage of w-inds. songs than I do, say, Arashi, NewS, KAT-TUN, etc., songs. I'm not such a big fan of pop ballads, however, so it's a little disappointing to hear this album's ballad-heavy. I may check it out anyway, just to hear the more upbeat tracks.

*laughs* I agree! I much prefer the JE boys' acting in dramas to their group-singing efforts. I don't really know if their voices, as individuals, are really that bad (it's hard to tell when they're all singing the melody part together) but I generally don't like their choice in material (well, it's probably not even their choice, but still...). I usually tend to like solo songs from them (Kame, Yamapi, Kazunari Ninomiya, for example), though-- maybe it's just "too many boys at once" for me to appreciate much of their group efforts. Which I think may be why, of all the JE groups, my favorite is the duo of Tackey & Tsubasa. And why I like w-inds., too, because as far as my casual-fan ear can tell, its basically Keita Tachibana singing and the other 2 boys doing... whatever it is that they do. Laughing

uh huh. i generally do not enjoy 'group sing' for the very fact that you can't tell their voices apart -- also, the mesh of voices *_*

LOL!!! I love Keita, and the space cadet that he is. And his minions are ever so adorable. Anime smile

Aside from acting well and looking delicious they also deliver crack. You should watch their interviews and their own variety shows, especially the ones with Arashi and Kanjani8. You'll get a good belly laugh. Also, I really recommend you checking out the older bands like Kinki Kids, Tokio and V6. They have more experience and talent then the younger groups.

Now, if you want a boyband who have raw singing talent and is not JE, I really suggest you to check out Tohoshinki. Their voices and dancing are amazing. They are originally Korean and have made it big in Asia as DBSK/TVXQ and now they are trying to make it in Japan.

Live acapella singing with one main singer. The last part is at Utaban with Koda Kumi as a guest and the song is called Towani.

Live group singing.

Start this video around 40 seconds in. Apart from the dancing the song is catchy, imo.

Sorry, I had to pimp them out. lol

I totally love DBSK. Have you watched their earlier videos when they were younger -- they were soo adorable! I am also quite impressed by their popularity in Japan. The Japanese fans gooble them up, especially when they start speaking and conversing in Japanese. Very impressive, i think.

The funny part was that I had heard of w-inds a long time ago but blew them off as a typical boy band without ever listening to their music. I guess now I'll have to go through their older stuff and find the non-ballad tracks.

I'm so glad you know about them already. Anime cry

Yes, I have and I still think they are adorable. lol
It is impressive. Unlike most Avex artists, most of their singles and albums don't even get half the promotional output and they still continue to do well. However, the day they beat a JE single/album off the #1 spot in the Oricon chart will be something worth talking about.

It's good to know that they are being devoured. They've been doing a good job and their japanese has improved so much. Not to mention it's hilarious when they start insulting each other and tell the hosts their Oyagi gags. Anime hyper

Just to let you know, they are having their Korean comeback soon with their 4th album. Usually, an album means them promoting by doing live performances and being guests in weird/hilarious variety shows. I can't wait. =D

This will probably be worth seeking out. My first exposure to DBSK was through their appearance on X-Man #151 & 152, wherein Yunho and JaeJoong fought each other* on the monkeybars. Besides that, though, I do appreciate a number of DBSK songs because they actually seem able to harmonize with one another (witness their a capella performances), as opposed to "everyone sing the melody" (which seems to be what many JE groups do).

*"fought each other" meaning "JaeJoong wrapped his legs around YunHo's neck, much to the audience's delight" *giggles stupidly*

Yes, it is!! I LOVE them being in Japan, but the boys themselves are so alive in Korea that I can't wait to see what they have in store for us with this new album.

Honestly, I am acquainted with Shinhwa through their appearances in variety shows and the gorgeous Min Woo, but I never had a chance to dive deep into their music and fandom. I do remember that there were a lot of skinship moments between them that my friends showed me. Anime hyper

Duuuude, Xiah's dolphin-thing is what made me interested in these guys apart from their music. lol Xiah is just too precious.

Man, what a great way to get introduced to them. Their appearances on those two X-man episodes were hilarious. It's sad that they cancelled the show. Anime cry Wow, you were brought in by the infamous Jaeho couple. I don't blame you. Their "fights" in there were very unintentionally sexy. lol If you like these two I really suggest you checking out their Banjun Drama "Dangerous Love" if you haven't already. DBSK give their fangirls exactly what they want.

They do a wonderful job of harmonizing. I believe NEWS did an a capella once for their "Hoshi wo Mezashite" single and it was good, but not mind blowing. I was just happy to see that they did it. Then again, JE is doing well with just singing the melody and I hope they keep doing that. ^^;
