The Ghibli Museum has a very good replica of the Catbus, but this one actually moves!

What the heck is that thing?

I thought the Oscar Meyer Wiener mobile was strange enough (though tasty looking).

Is this from a Studio Ghibli produced anime?

It's the Neko-bus from My Neighbor Totoro!! (Such a good movie!)

That's pretty funny...the real thing...

I always thought it was weird how its body just kind of "expanded" to create the doorway. That was kinda creepy.

WOW! I thought I had seen it all. Now they should make a giant mobile suit for people to fly around in. Wink

I've always wanted to take a nice ride on Catbus, now maybe I'll get the chance.

There's a Ghibli museum? Wow, another thing I can futily hope to see someday.

Hey, they finished it! I remember seeing pics off that thing back when it was a bus and a lot of scrap metal in some guys garage. If you look close you'll notice it's wasn't made by japanese fans, but NA fans. I'll see if I can dig up the website.

I want the eye-lights and purple mouse-lights! Laughing

Just like Emerje said, it's evident that this photo is taken somewhere in North America (and probably US) rather than in Japan.

That bus is uber-cool.
It looks like the picture's from the Burningman festival in Nevada. (If you scroll down the page you can see the word Burningman in one of the posts. Also, the location and all the people and tents in the photo look VERY Burningman-esque.)

They should make a Macross replica that moves. That would be the best thing ever. Very Happy
