I think this is the best musical review yet Rachael. And I wholeheartedly agree with you on pretty much the whole album. I had come across Nightmare a few years ago before Death Note and really liked them. At the time, it was hard to find any music by them from the States, even online. So when they did the OP and ED for Death Note, it was a joyful day.
Their music doesn't do it for everyone though. It IS a bit repetative and a lot of their stuff does sound the same. BUt when they do create a good track, it will hit you like a ton of bricks.

Yes, a lot of their material can be very repetitive at times. If you want a little more variety, try their older stuff, especially their indies releases; can be very grungy and thrashy at times. For a taste of something completely different, I highly recommend Sendai Kamotsu, their comedy side project where they all go by aliases. Sendai's music vids should have you rolling on the ground.

I love the Killer Show album. I actually got into Death Note because of Nightmare and now it's my favourite anime. My favourites from this album are definetely Worst, Gianism Hachi, Cloudy dayz because I generally love their rock element songs such as Hate, gianism shichi and black sick spider from their previous albums. Also Dirty because it is a work of genius from Sakito and Ruka ^^
I can't wait to see what Lost in Blue is like and await it eagerly
(hitsugi looks so hot in the photoshoot!) ^^
Go Naitomea!!!!!! ^0^

I imported my copy from CD Japan. I don't believe it is available in the States, though I fully admit that I don't regularly check iTunes to see what is available there.

I have to thank you for this review. I dismissed Nightmare as mostly boring a while ago, but this review piqued my interest. I decided to check out the album and I greatly enjoyed it. I may have to re/check out other Nightmare albums.
