Are these theatrical projects?
If so then Wicked City would have to be rated R. Although I think a CG Wicked City would be pretty awesome. |

They actually already did a live-action version which was surprisingly more in the vein of sentai than anime.

As long as Chung doesn't do his typical character designs where the characters are either anorexic or a tub o' lard, and exhibit questionable fashion sense as exhibited with copious use of thongs for both genders regardless of body type, then there should be some potential in these projects. The guy is a reasonably talented animator, but his design choices are just sometimes hideous.

The images of Astro Boy and Reign: The Conqueror just mixed in my head and the results were NOT pretty.
I'd love to see an animated adaptation of Pluto, but since it's not finished yet I'll have to wait. |

Peter Chung working on 'Wicked City'? Well, it's right up his alley. And he's got the style for what 'Kawajiri-san', established back in the late 80's early 90's. But I can't see him doing 'Astro Boy'. But we'll see.
