TOKYO, JAPAN – November 28, 2024 — Celebrating their 25th anniversary last year, Hikaru Utada released their first best-of album "SCIENCE FICTION" this past April. On September 1st, Utada successfully concluded the highly anticipated nationwide HIKARU UTADA SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024. The series of concerts, which started in Fukuoka on July 13, lasted nearly two months, stopping in seven locations across Japan. It also marked Utada's first solo concerts in Asia with performances in Taipei, boasting an audience of 20,000, and Hong Kong, drawing 24,000 attendees. In total, the tour featured 18 performances across nine locations, attracting a record-breaking 258,000 fans, making it one of the largest tours of Utada's career and a fitting celebration of their 25th debut anniversary.

As of today, the tour's concert movie is now available for exclusive streaming outside Japan on Amazon Prime Video in 190 countries and regions.

In addition, fans around the world can now experience “Laughter in the Dark Tour 2018” and “Live Sessions from Air Studios (2022)” which are also available for streaming exclusively on Prime Video.

Moreover, for fans in Japan, the “HIKARU UTADA LIVE CHRONICLES in cinema” is taking place at theaters across Japan. Due to high demand for tickets, the event has been extended at the Tokyo venue (Shinjuku Piccadilly) until January 16 and at the Nagoya venue (Midland Square Cinema) until December 11. Tickets for the extended dates are now on sale at each theater's website.

About the Exhibition Costumes
For the “HIKARU UTADA SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024,” Spiber created stunning costumes using their innovative Brewed Protein™ fiber. These cutting-edge outfits were first worn by Utada at the Fukuoka show on July 13 and appeared throughout the entire tour. This is the first time the material development team has contributed to the design of Utada's clothes for live performances. Designed by Yoshiyuki Miyamae and his team at A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE, with styling by Kyohei Ogawa — who has long collaborated with Utada — his costumes were carefully crafted to reflect the artist's unique vision and the theme of the tour.
